Lily-Rose Depp's netted mini dress nails French girl style
Will French girl style ever not be chic? Answer: no. It's an aesthetic we've long admired and always try to recreate by investing in elevated basics, luxe fabrics and practical accessories. When it comes to nailing the look though, no one does it better than Lily-Rose Depp.
The actress and model is known for her seriously chic style on and off the red carpet. No doubt helped by her affiliation with *the* French fashion house, Chanel, with Lily-Rose first appointed an ambassador of the brand 10 years ago when she was just 15 years old. Jealous? Us?
Following her turn in the controversial HBO show The Idol, Lily-Rose has remained largely out of the spotlight this year but we're pleased to report she is officially back – and with her signature style in tow, natch. It's all thanks to the Nosferatu press tour taking place RN.
The project comes very highly anticipated and is actually a remake of the 1922 silent German Expressionist gothic tale set in 1830s Transylvania. Lily-Rose takes on the central role of Ellen, a haunted young woman being pursued by a terrifying vampire who is infatuated with her.
Having already wowed in an ethereal silver nightgown with a delicate lace additional layer – vintage Chanel from the autumn winter 1995 couture collection, no less – on the red carpet at the LA premiere, Lily-Rose has continued her promo tour-drobe style streak at a BAFTA screening in New York City yesterday [Sunday 15 December]. This time donning a chic AF cream mini dress.
As well as featuring padded shoulders and a draped cowl neckline, the mini is entirely covered in a transparent netted overlay with embellished circular structured oversized brooches adorning the neckline and one hip. Lily-Rose added sheer black tights and kept her hair and makeup neutral to complete the minimal 'fit.
Another style win. We can't wait to see what she wears next.
