I'm A Celebrity 2025: First celeb announced in hilarious video
From roses to the African jungle, this leading man knows how to win over fans.
The first official Aussie celebrity who's going to risk it all and park up in the African jungle in I'm A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here! has been announced, with former Bachelor Matty 'J' Johnston announcing on Life Uncut that he'll be disappearing for a while to try out jungle life.
The hilarious announcement (that went slightly askew, as you'll see below) was made on Laura Byrne's podcast, as the two shared how their youngest daughter Lola, 3, reacted to the news that her father was set to leave for a while.
"He is leaving me very, very soon," Laura said, before Matty described telling the news to his daughters Marlie and Lola.
"I told Lola, I wasn't expecting much, because she doesn't like me at all," Matty said. "I sat them down and said, 'Daddy is going to be going away for work for a long time, I'm going to go to Africa' and Lola instantly goes, 'Girl's Day!' She did not care at all!"

I'm A Celebrity's major blunder as they accidentally reveal contestant's identity
Matty J's official announcement comes not long after Channel 10 appeared to have accidentally revealed the identity of the TV host heading into the jungle on the upcoming season. The blunder came after the network shared a teaser video on Monday where they failed to remove a telling clue.

In the teaser, the celebrity's face was hidden and her voice was distorted as she shared clues about her identity. However, producers made the mistake of failing to remove her unique and recognisable engagement ring before filming the video.
Within moments of sharing the video, which was then deleted, many fans guessed that the TV host is Nicky Buckley.
The clues for the TV host say they are "trading the fame game for the fun and games of the jungle, and we think it’ll be a scream!"
I'm A Celeb will be back on our screens January 19 on Channel 10 and 10play.
