Home and Away star addresses romance rumours and shares set secrets: 'So sweet'

One of Home and Away’s newest arrivals, Levi Fowler (Tristan Gorey), has caused a bit of ruckus in Summer Bay. Introduced as Eden Fowler’s (Stephanie Panozzo) brother, he embarked on a steamy affair with Mackenzie Booth (Emily Weir), who has previously been unlucky in love.

Tristan has been sharing behind-the-scenes updates regularly with fans, spilling some intriguing set secrets and showing off his close relationships with his co-stars. In a string of Instagram stories, he touched on what it’s really like to work with Emily.

“I’ll tell you what, it’s a fricking nightmare [working with Emily],” he joked. “She’s always so positive and kind. She hates it when I call her generous.”

When another fan asked if Tristan could start dating Emily in real life, he tagged his co-star and asked her the question. Sadly, Emily replied by shaking her head and saying no, so it looks like this is one romance that won’t make its way off the screen.

Tristan was also asked about what it’s like to work with Juliet Godwin, who plays Dr Bree Cameron.

“What I love most about working with Juliet is how prepared she is. She’s always so prepared, being the medical professional in Summer Bay, she just knows her jargon like the back of her hand, like it’s no one’s business,” he said.

Tristan added that Juliet is “so sweet” and always has “something interesting to say”.

After a fan asked Tristan who he’d like to play if he wasn’t cast as Levi, he said he’d love to step into John Palmer’s (Shane Withington) shoes.

“I’m 100 per cent choosing John. I’ve never seen an actor have so much fun while playing a character on a TV show,” he admitted. “Shane is the man, John is the man, and I think I could run a surf club.”

In another video shared by the Home and Away Instagram account, Emily and Tristan took part in a best friends challenge, to see how well they know each other.

While Emily knew that Tristan loved country music, she was appalled when he guessed that she liked cats better than dogs.

The pair traded sweet compliments at the end of the challenge, with Emily declaring that Tristan’s kind nature was her favourite thing about him.

“If someone was like, ‘Do you want to take away his humour or his kindness, I’d say take away his humour, 'cause I’d rather you be kind,” she said.

In return, Tristan said she was “generous”, with her time and affection.

Fans went wild for the video, with one saying Tristan was “gorgeous”.

“I love you guys as a couple on Home and Away, I wish you guys went out in real life, [it’s] a perfect match,” another wrote.

“Love, love this. Love Em and Tristan’s banter and friendship so much,” a third chimed in.

“These two have so much chemistry off-screen too. They’d make a cute couple,” another remarked.
