Dave Hughes rushed to hospital after surfing accident: 'Worst pain of my life'

"9 out of 10 level nerve damage."

Aussie TV legend Dave 'Hughesy' Hughes was rushed to hospital following a surfing accident on New Year's Eve while enjoying some time on the Gold Coast.

The comedian, 53, revealed that he dislocated his shoulder in the surf, resulting in nerve damage and the "worst pain" of his life which lifeguards treated with an emergency painkiller.

Hughesy uploaded some shots on his Instagram depicting his painful journey, including a shot of him slumped over in the beach buggy and bent over a green whistle.
