Yahoo Lifestyle Lainey Wilson Stuns in Soulful Grammys Tribute Performance

While she may not have taken home a Grammy at this year's award show, singer Lainey Wilson didn't let that stop her from leaving it all on the stage.
Like years before, the 2025 Grammy Awards honored the lives of late music industry legends and this year's salute to Quincy Jones was one for the books. Known as one of the most influential producers of our time, stars from all different genres joined forces on one of music's biggest stages to honor his legacy. While the entire tribute was truly a highlight of the show, we couldn't help but be glued to the TV when Lainey hit the stage as part of the all-star performance.
Following Wicked star Cynthia Erivo's spirited rendition of "Fly Me to the Moon," Lainey Wilson hit the stage in an edgy, fringe-filled outfit (of course, she had her signature cowboy hat too) to give an exciting performance of the iconic Ray Charles track "Let The Good Times Roll" that was produced by Quincy Jones. And, let's just say that the combination of her country twang with the soulful song quickly made this one of our top performances we've seen from her yet.
When asked how Quincy Jones impacted her own career during a preshow interview, Lainey went on to say, "I think country music is inspired and influenced by so many different thinks, but I think just the way that he left his mark. He just went for it." She continued, "Just watching everything that he has done, you can't say that it's not inspiring."
Lainey shared a video of the performance on social media, and she took to Instagram before the big night to share some absolutely stunning photos of her outfit captioned, "Ain’t nowhere I’d rather be 💫 #GRAMMYs."
It didn't take fans long to start commenting on how they wish she could've won a Grammy, but the comment section was also flooded with encouraging messages like, "Let's go Cowgirl 🤠," "You wear it well ALWAYS!!! 😍" and "You were amazing singing “Let the Good Times Roll”! …And that last note WOW🎵 🙌🏻❤️."
