While fans are accustomed to seeing every detail of Kylie Jenner's lavish life on display, whether it's on TV with Hulu's The Kardashians or the reality star's social media feeds, her relationship with actor Timothée Chalamet isn't part of that glossy package—and that's by design. In a new interview with British Vogue, Jenner opened up about making the decision to keep this particular romance away from the tabloids and how it really feels great to have some parts of her private life remain private.

“Privacy is so important to me in life,” she said, adding that her choice to keep things away from the spotlight, “feels so good.”

She went on to say that having her life on TV since she was 10 years old has taught her how to differentiate between things that she should share and things that she can keep to herself.

“I learnt at such a young age how to deal with all of this in the best way for me,” she said. “So, I don’t go crazy, if I am being honest.”

Jenner and Chalamet sparked romance rumors back in April 2023 after they were photographed making out on a boat in Capri. Since then, they've been spotted at Beyoncé's concert in L.A., attended the U.S. Open together in September 2023, and had a date night at the 2024 Golden Globes.

Kylie's mother, Kris Jenner, also spoke about her daughter's uncanny ability to compartmentalize, saying that she's able to open up to people she cares about and protect her mental health.

“She has learned to be emotionally available only to the people she feels really comfortable being around,” Kris told British Vogue. “She protects her mental health that way. Anywhere she goes it creates a lot of brouhaha. It can be very overwhelming.”

Kylie added that it's all just part of her day job and that because of her reality TV pedigree and the long, long time she's spent in the spotlight, it's all just become part of her everyday life.

“People ask me, ‘How do you deal with all this?’ I don’t remember a time before,” Kylie finished. “I don’t really remember a time before there were the lights and the cameras.”
