Kmart's $14 item solves major caravanning problem: 'Very good design'
This Kmart item is a game changer!
As caravanning grows in popularity thanks to cost of living pressures, people are always on the hunt for the next item that will make their lives that little bit easier while on the road. Kmart has come to the rescue more times than we can count and they've done it again with the dreaded task of laundry and where to put all those dirty clothes!
Many caravaners have lamented the fact that they have no where to put their laundry before it's washed, or that they don't know where to store their laundry basket when it's empty. Thankfully, the budget retailer's $14 Collapsible Laundry Basket is here to help. The basket collapses to become slim enough to store in tiny spaces.

While many caravaners said they stored their dirty laundry in the washing machine – smart! Others said they stored their laundry basket in the shower when they were on the road.
One Facebook user shared how she did it, "Collapsible basket. Just brought a new one this morning... Lives in the shower while travelling."
"This is exactly what we do," another added. "Works perfectly for us."
The Kmart site features several five-star reviews, with one buyer writing that it "folds easily for slotting in tight places."
"Excellent for those with smaller homes," another said.
Other laundry hacks for caravanning
Many people shared other hacks for doing the laundry on the road, with one saying, "Mesh pop up laundry basket in the shower."
"I use a granny shopping trolley," another said. "Then I just wheel it to the laundry. When it's not needed it folds down to nothing. And doubles as a shopping trolly if needed."
"We use a big blue IKEA bag on top of the second bunk (we don't use the top)," a third wrote. "All dirty clothes go in there and when full, its about a load of washing."
"I store mine in the washing machine too but I also have a big fabric zippered bag that came as the packaging for a doona or a blanket or something because they don’t use plastic packaging anymore," someone else suggested. "It’s larger and has handles and probably won’t wear out."
