Kmart shoppers go wild for $39 beach must-have: 'Best summer find'

Kmart shoppers have praised the return of a $39 ‘must-have’ summer item which is perfect for sitting by the pool, relaxing at the beach or camping. The Stripe Cushion Recliner is a stylish, lightweight recliner with a padded seat and backrest with multiple adjustable positions.

Available in blue and white or pink striped towelling fabric, it has a soft carry handle which makes it easy to bring to the beach, pool, park or backyard. It only weighs 2kg and has a durable steel frame that holds up to 100kg.

Love Island Australia star and influencer Françoise Draschler (@francoisedraschler) shared a video on TikTok this week showcasing the product, which she purchased last year in yellow and pink striped fabric, and called it “the best summer find from Kmart”.

“It’s lightweight and padded and it’s so comfy,” she said. “The cover also comes off so you can wash it too. Best portable pool and beach chair.”

She also wrote in the comments that she always keeps the product in the car because of its convenient size, adding: “It’s so much better than the ones with metal frames that bang your shins when carrying it around.”

Shoppers run to Kmart

Fans quickly took to the comments to applaud the on-trend item, with one person writing: “I need this chair in my life.”

“They have them back this summer! A navy blue and light pink. I got myself one for Christmas!” another added, while a third said, “Thanks for the tip!”.

“Never bought something so quickly in my life,” someone else shared, followed by a different user who said, “I have that it’s so good”.

Kmart also sells a Tropical Leaf Cushion Recliner for $29, which has a similar function with a padded seat and backrest but is slightly smaller.

Other seating options for sitting on the sand include a $25 Tropical Leaf Foldaway Lounger, a $39 Sun Lounger, a $20 Low Profile Chair and a $16 Stripe Beach Chair.
