In one of her most recent projects, she decided to makeover her bathroom and turned to Kmart to style it out.

"I had a little revamp in the main bathroom," she said on her Instagram. "Just added some green, rattan and jute to add some warmth in this bathroom."

But what really stood out was the spa-like vibe she created with some simple and cheap $3 shelves.

Making the most on a small piece of wall in her bathroom, Samantha has created some all-important storage without foregoing aesthetics.

The resulting look is not just coordinated and clean but also very current with its use of rattans and pale woods.

But she does admit that this hack while looking simple, can be a little tricky – it's all about balance and a little extra security.

"Make sure you even out the weight with your decor items to stop it wanting to move like a see-saw," she says on her post.

"Place decor items right in the middle or place a couple of items to fill the shelf to distribute the weight."

She also suggested securing the shelves to your wall - particularly if you have children.

"Stick blu tac on the wood part of the shelf and fix to the wall to stop it moving," she suggests.

"Make sure you fix with a proper screw and plug. So it can take weight otherwise it could be a disaster," she adds.

And her fans love the way they look.

"They look beautiful, love what you have done! I definitely need to pick some up," bargain.boss says in the comments.

"Very spa-like," another commenter said.

Samantha's final suggestion is: "If you can, go into Kmart test out your items on the shelf before purchase, if any in stock."

With so many of us in lockdown we may need to rely on the measuring tape and a good eye right now but for the $3 investment - we think it's worth it.
