The user took to the Kmart Mums Facebook group and revealed she got inspiration from the page when she was creating the gift.

They wrote: "Thanks to this page for the inspiration! It was a huge hit for the work [Kris Kringle] recipient (and many other jealous colleagues haha!)."

In the comments section, they revealed they'd spent about $30 on the whole thing, but had plenty of sweet treats leftover to make another box.

"That's the best," wrote another, while other suggested the box would be perfect for a "road trip snack box" or and "advent calendar" next year.

"But the only problem is I'd eat the rest," one user joked.

Many others wrote that they wished they had been her Secret Santa recipient, but added the treats wouldn't last long enough for them.

Some users suggested the plastic box wasn't food safe, however, one mum wrote that she'd been using the box for her daughter's lunch for years and that it had been fine.

Another suggested you could use cupcake cases in each square if you were worried about the plastic, while someone else pointed out it wouldn't be going in the microwave and would be fine if it's washed out.

One user added that Bunnings sell a similar container that is food safe.

Another user hit out at those who were slamming the poster and wrote: "This is a food grade plastic it is made from polypropylene (PP) which is a level 5 in food grading for plastics! It DOES NOT produce any toxins or chemicals when exposed to acids like from food, detergents or bases!

"It can also be used in the dishwasher AND microwave! So leave the woman alone and take the time you used to belittle her to do some actual research!"
