Using an affordable totem tennis toy purchased from Kmart, they cleverly attached a bigger ball to the string of the tether ball pole, transforming it into an interactive plaything for their dogs.

Eager to share her success, the dog owner exclaimed: "Seriously the best $20 ever spent!"

She went on to say that by attaching a larger ball, the setup worked precisely as intended, resulting in lively games of back-and-forth ball rallies between the dogs.

"So much fun! Thanks, Kmart," she said.

The comments section lit up with praise from fellow dog lovers, celebrating the brilliance of the hack and revelling in the joy of witnessing the dogs having a blast.

"How good is this?!" exclaimed one person, while another chimed in, "I'm doing this!"

The sentiment was echoed by others, with exclamations of, "This is the BEST!" and, "What a hoot!"

The heartwarming effect of the hack didn't go unnoticed, as one commenter exclaimed, "Love this! You've made us smile, and wow, they are good!"

Another person injected a touch of humour, joking: "less daily walks required."

The enthusiasm sparked by the creative dog toy hack prompted questions about the method behind its success, as group members eagerly sought to recreate the dog toy at home.

The resourceful dog owner shared the process, mentioning the use of a cheap ball, also from Kmart. They explained how they removed the tennis ball from the string, replacing it with the bigger ball.

"Gorilla glued a suction cup to the ball," she explained, "used the original string to tie it, but just snipped off the tennis ball."

She also shared they bought a few extra balls to use as substitutes, in case one was popped.

When asked about potential destructive behaviour, the owner confidently stated: "As for the dogs not destroying it, I can tell you. They just knew how to play."

To err on the side of caution, she went on to explain the play sessions were closely supervised to prevent any accidents from occurring.

However, another group member warned fellow dog owners to exercise caution, recounting a personal experience where their dog got entangled in the toy, resulting in a mouth injury.

"I have done this before and it wrapped around my dogs mouth a couple of times," the group member recounted, "he ended up cutting his mouth trying to get it off. So be careful peeps."
