A popular cleaning product from everybody's favourite Aussie discount chain, Kmart, is flying off the shelves, becoming a must-have item for breathing new life into worn-out couches and furniture.
In a recent wave of success stories, delighted Kmart shoppers have been showcasing the incredible before-and-after results achieved with the retailer's $99 'Spot Cleaner,' with the affordable product becoming a secret weapon for giving a second lease on life to tired furnishings.
One West Australian woman said she considered herself a "clean freak" but was left gobsmacked when she witnessed the sheer volume of dirt the product extracted from her sofa.
"I'm very impressed with this," she told the Mums Who Clean group on Facebook, "it's done such a great job. I recommend it."
She went on to detail the ease of using the cleaner by filling its tank with hot water and adding a laundry detergent pod, before setting to work on her upholstery.
The result? Her sofa emerged looking "brand new," leaving her thrilled with the transformation.
Another delighted woman shared her experience with the product on her rug, couch, and footstool, saying, "I didn't add any fancy cleaning solutions. Used simple Coles laundry liquid, and look at the results!"
She went on to describe her experience, noting, "It was incredibly easy to use and worked like a charm. All the dirt came out in just 1 or 2 strokes, and everything looks brand new. I couldn't be happier."
Another individual chimed in with enthusiasm, declaring, "My carpets and couches are spotless thanks to this - it works amazing!"
Numerous other satisfied customers were equally excited about the product, sharing their photos and valuable tips on maximising their Kmart purchase.
One member offered a helpful tip, stating, "You can spray stains on a fabric lounge with the stain remover you use for your washing, let sit for five minutes, and then use the spot cleaner"
Another member shared, "I buy Bissell's carpet cleaning liquid from Supercheap, and only need to use a small amount."
Meanwhile, the growing crowd eager to buy the popular item are struggling to find it in store.
One frustrated mum asked, "How did you find it? Every time I check online it's been out of stock," while another added, "I've been looking for one of these for months but no luck."
However, one woman had a stroke of luck, sharing her experience, "All my local Brisbane locations constantly showed 'out of stock,' but one day I was in a store, and, boom, two were on the shelf! They both came home with me."
