"Dear esteemed, This is kim kardashian hope you are doing great?" the message, which was sent via email, began. "Thanks for been a supportive fan."
It continued, "I want to bring to our notice about the recent incident in Los Angeles about the fire outbreak, please I want us to play our part by helping those affected. you know I can’t do it alone that is why I have you all as a fan, family and supporters you can support with any amount."
"Kindly let us know if you are willing and ready to support this great movement and will send…” the message cut off in the screenshot.
"Beware of scammers! This is not real if anyone gets an email like this! How horrible,” she added.
“This email is NOT me,” she emphasized in a second slide, showing another screenshot of the subject line, written in all caps: “KIM KARDASHIAN CAMPAIGN FOR AFFECTED PERSON’S IN LA.”
It was sent from the address kimkardashiancampaign@gmail.com.
Still, the Kardashian's generosity has been on full display amid the ongoing California wildfires, with a local eatery named Carousel Restaurant revealing that the family had funded an undisclosed number of meals to serve local firefighters during the blazes.
"We proudly delivered meals to several fire stations today 🚒Thank you to the frontline members for your dedication to your communities. A special thank you to the Kardashian family for funding the meals—your generosity knows no bounds," the restaurant wrote in the caption of its Jan. 9 Instagram upload.
Kim has also been vocal about raising the pay rate for incarcerated firefighters who are risking their lives to battle the blazes for very little money.
