Robbie Williams Makes Good on a Surprising Request From Couple in Crowd

Robbie Williams reportedly married a couple who attended a special premiere held in New York City for the film based loosely on his life as an artist.

Over the weekend, the British singer appeared at a Q&A session for the new semi-biographical film  Better Man. The event quickly became one to remember as the 50-year-old "Angels" crooner orchestrated an intimate conversation with his eldest daughter, Theodora "Teddy" Rose Williams, and held an impromptu marriage ceremony for two fans in the crowd.

"At today's BETTER MAN Q&A in NYC, Robbie Williams was vulnerable, receptive to the audience's energy, took time to have a heart-to-heart with his daughter, and then a man in the audience asked him, as an ordained minister, to officiate a marriage with his fiancé," one attendee recalled alongside a photo set of four images from the event that they shared on X (formerly Twitter) on Sunday evening. "Incredible."

The images show Williams wearing a fur trench coat with a jaguar print, light gray slacks, and a white shirt, complimenting his short salt-and-pepper hairstyle. The last of the four photos captured the moment Williams officiated the ceremony.

The fan also documented a snippet of Williams' "back and forth" with his almost 13-year-old, gushing over the "wonderful, sweet moment in the middle of the Q&A," when the two discussed the pros and cons of being famous.

"Fame could give me more possibilities and like more things that you can express yourself and hopefully people will understand," Teddy said. "But I just think it's better to have a private life sometimes, too, you can have too much fame."

She explained that she loves Taylor Swift, "but sometimes her private life is served to the world."

"It's hard," Teddy said. "That's a hard thing."

"Daddy's famous too," Williams quipped, celebrating his daughter's impassioned contribution to the conversation. "Well done, darling."

Along with Teddy, Williams and his wife of nearly 15 years, Ayda Field, share three younger children: 10-year-old son Charlie, 6-year-old daughter Colette, and son Beau, who turns 5 next month.
