Fans rallied behind the actress, sharing similar notes of confusion and frustration like, "It doesn’t make sense to us either 😭💔 we love you, Kelly 🙏🏻😇💫🐦‍🔥," and "GH made a HUGE MISTAKE! Won't be the same without you. 💔💔💔."

"Terrible decision from the network," said another, while someone else chimed in, "A huge void will be left that not another single soul could fill. Luv ya Kelly."

A different fan declared, "Can't even watch without you💔."

Monaco's departure was first announced in August, and reports claimed that the actress was "blindsided" by the news. Fans were equally shocked, with many voicing their disappointment and creating a petition to keep her on General Hospital.

The actress' final episode is set to air sometime this fall.
