Millie Bobby Brown Looks Unrecognizable in Carpet Appearance

Fans are doing double takes after catching a glimpse of photos of Millie Bobby Brown on the red carpet for Netflix’s new movie The Electric State.

Brown, 21, was joined on the red carpet by Jake Bongiovi, the model/actor son of fame rocker Jon Bon Jovi, whom she married in an intimate ceremony last May.

The British actress first gained notice for playing the character Eleven in another Netflix production, the series Stranger Things. Back then, Brown sported close-cropped dark hair but has long since grown her locks out.

On Monday, Feb. 24, as she walked the red carpet at The Egyptian Theatre in Los Angeles, she had an altogether different look—sporting a blonde up ‘do with bangs and wearing a gold and silver floor-length gown--that left her unrecognizable to some fans.

“I had to look twice… I honestly thought it was Pamela Anderson 😱🙃,” wrote one fan on Instagram.

Others had a harsher reaction. “Millie’s stylist needs to be fired. She’s too young to be dressed like that. She’s 21 and she looks her age in casual clothes. It’s the way they’re dressing her. She should be having more fun with fashion.”

“Millie looks like Jennifer Coolidge,” added another.

Still, another was there to defend Brown. “Gah … Millie is SLAYING it in that 90’s throw back gown! 🔥”

One fan commented on the couple as a whole, as Bongiovi, 22, was photographed alongside Brown wearing a traditional black-and-white tuxedo and black bow tie. “I thought this was Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn for a second omg I didn’t recognize Millie at all 😅”

Brown stars in the new sci-fi flick with an all-star cast featuring Chris Pratt, Ke Huy Quan, Jason Alexander, Giancarlo Esposito and Stanley Tucci. Woody Harrelson, Brian Cox, Jenny Slate, and Alan Tudyk aren’t seen the film about a robot revolution but are heard voicing some of the robot characters.
