Clarkson revealed that her children, River and Remington "Remy," don't like the idea of her dating someone new, saying, "They constantly bring it up, 'Please, we don't want you with anybody else.'"

"They're young. It's hard to picture their mom with someone else other than their dad," she went on.

But the "Breakaway" singer hopes to eventually find love again and told her kids as much, saying on the show, "I have expressed like, 'Hey, I love you guys but Mommy needs lovings too.'"

But Clarkson also noted that she's not looking for a commitment right now: "I've got a lot on my plate...I'm very noncommittal at the moment."

Clarkson filed for divorce from Blackstock in 2020, but it took around two years for the two to settle their affairs. In 2021, in the middle of the divorce, Clarkson opened up about co-parenting with her ex-husband on her talk show, saying, "It's tough."

She went on, "I know with me and Brandon, it's just a difficult thing because we're in different places, and it's like, we both agree on the main things, but it's a hard thing when you're not together all the time, for me personally."

Although Clarkson and Blackstock's divorce was settled in 2022, there were ongoing lawsuits about business finances between them that were finally settled in early 2024.
