The “Stronger” singer wore a yellow long-sleeved shirt with a mock turtleneck paired with a colorful floral skirt in a clip shared by The Kelly Clarkson Show on Instagram where she sang “Lavender Haze” off the 2022 album Midnights.

Fans loved the cover, commenting, “YES MOTHER CLARKSON SINGING MOTHER SWIFT!!!!!!” and “The way she sang the line “that lavender haaaazeeeee” is pure chef’s kiss 🔥🙌🏼.” A third fan chimed in to say “An icon singing the song of another icon so true.”

“When my two favorite female artists collide ❤️😍🔥” said one fan, and another agreed, commenting, "My worlds collide."

Some fans noted that the colors in Clarkson’s outfit may have been her taking a page out of Swift’s well-known Easter eggs, writing, “And is she wearing…. Gold 😍😍.”

A common theme among the comments were requests for the two Grammy winners to join forces musically, either for new material or for a reimagining of some of their existing music. “My dream collaboration‘cause I love you two SO MUCH 😍,” wrote one commenter.

Another shared the sentiment, commenting, “I am begging on my hands and knees for a collab.”

“Taylor x Kelly collab when?!?!” said one fan, while another mentioned the heavily-anticipated re-recording of Swift’s 2017 album, Reputation, writing, “Kelly on RepTV when?”

“Taylor plzzzzzz feature Kelly on a Debut TV Vault track 🙏,” pleaded one fan.
