There's no denying that Katie Holmes is a trendsetter with a capital T. Her now-viral cashmere bra and cardigan set made her the street style star she is today, and most recently, she convinced us to buy baggy jeans while also breaking out our ballet flats at the same time. So, it comes as little surprise that the actress found a new way to breathe new life into the basic button-down shirt.

Attending Patou's fall 2025 runway show during Paris Fashion Week on Sunday, Holmes debuted a new way to wear the go-to wardrobe staple by simply putting it on backwards. Her blue striped shirt had the collar popped in front and was buttoned from behind. She teamed her top with brown wide-leg trousers and a leather trench coat that was a few shades darker slung over her shoulders.

Holmes accessorized with a navy blue purse, gold statement earrings, and quirky blue-and-white polka-dot block heels. She styled her brunette hair down in long, loose waves with a middle part and finished off her glam with a glossy mauve lip and a swirl of rose-colored blush added to both cheeks.

Holmes has become somewhat of a front-row fixture at Patou. Last year, the Our Town star attended the fashion brand's fall-winter 2025 haute couture show, looking like the ultimate American in Paris with her red, white, and blue color palette. Teaming her dark-wash, wide-leg denim with a white top that was layered underneath a navy blue jacket with gold buttons a bright red collar, Holmes carried a white purse in one hand and rounded out her look with black boots.
