Shades of red have been prevalent since the fall 2023 season, with labels like Valentino, Carolina Herrera and Emilia Wickstead setting the scarlet trend. After dominating high-profile events like the Emmys and MTV Video Music Awards in 2024, stars including Dakota Fanning, Emma Stone and Ali Wong brought rouge hues into 2025, wearing them at the 2025 Golden Globes.
Deschanel works with stylist Ib Abdel Nasser, who dressed the “500 Days of Summer” star for her fall 2024 Vera Bradley campaign. Deschanel was named their new brand ambassador in July.
“She’ll be front and center in all our campaign marketing for the rest of the year,” Jacqueline Ardrey, president and chief executive officer of Vera Bradley, told WWD.
Deschanel wore another colorful monochromatic look at the Los Angeles premiere of “Harold and the Purple Crayon” last summer. The animated film is based on Crockett Johnson’s bestselling children’s book of the same name.
Deschanel selected a damask print Anna Sui shift, which she paired with purple Calzedonia tights and patent leather Ferragamo Varina flats. Deschanel accessorized with pink drop earrings and a satin Roger Vivier purse featuring a jeweled buckle.
