Kate ‘mortified’ over reports she made Meghan cry, expert claims
Kate Middleton is reportedly ‘mortified’ over claims she made Meghan Markle cry over an argument about flower girl dresses.
During the Duchess of Sussex’s interview with Oprah last week, she revealed that the headlines circulating about seven months after her wedding to Prince Harry claiming she had made Kate Middleton cry were false.
“The reverse happened,” Meghan was heard saying during the explosive interview.
“Everyone in the institution knew it wasn’t true.”

Meghan said there had been a tiff over the flower girl dresses “and it made me cry, and it really hurt my feelings.”
“and it made me cry, and it really hurt my feelings.”
Meghan did reveal that Kate “owned it” and apologised by bringing flowers to her Kensington Palace home at the time, along with a note.
Now, speaking to OK! Magazine, royal author Katie Nicholl says Kate Middleton is ‘mortified’ over Meghan revealing the story to the whole world.
“Kate is so discreet and respects her personal life. You never hear about her falling out with anyone because she is very careful with how she treats others,” Katie said.
“Kate has never wanted any suggestion of a rift with Meghan to come out in the press, so for this story to be circulating is very hard.
“Kate felt [the incident] was all sorted, so to have it brought up again was mortifying.’’
Earlier this week, a source told US Weekly that Kate and Meghan haven’t ‘spoken directly’ in over a year.
"[Kate and Meghan] were never that close, but the reason they’re not speaking is because of the rift between Prince Harry and Prince William," the source said.
They went on to claim that the brothers had communicated 'sparingly' over the past 12 months and that their animosity for one another has 'spilled over' to their wives, making it hard for them to be friendly, too.
