The unique fabric reminded multiple social media users of the same thing.

"Why does Kate Hudson look like she’s wearing my granny’s old bathroom rug set?" asked one person on X.

"Why is Kate Hudson wearing her bath mat as a dress," wondered someone else.

"I’m kinda obsessed with kate hudson’s bathroom rug dress," admitted a third X user.

"Kate Hudson’s dress looks like a bathroom rug a little but I kinda like it lmao #AMAs," agreed another fan.

Her AMAs Anniversary Special appearance was the latest in a recent series of music-themed moments for the Almost Famous star.

After releasing her debut album Glorious in May, Hudson took to Instagram last week to share her take on a beloved holiday song: "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas."

Late last month, the multi-talented performer took the stage with Martin Short to sing a duet of "The Lady is a Tramp" at mom Goldie Hawn's Love-In Gala, Us Weekly reported.
