“When a scandal forces her brother to resign, Isla Gordon (Hudson) is appointed president of the Los Angeles Waves, one of the most storied professional basketball franchises, and her family business,” per the official logline. “Ambitious and often overlooked, Isla will have to prove to her skeptical brothers, the board, and the larger sports community that she was the right choice for the job.”
In addition to Hudson, the ensemble includes Brenda Song (Dollface), Drew Tarver (The Other Two), Scott MacArthur (The Mick), Fabrizio Guido (Mr. Iglesias), Toby Sandeman (The Game), Chet Hanks (Your Honor), Jay Ellis (Insecure) and Max Greenfield (New Girl).
The 10-episode series hails from Mindy Project trio Kaling, Ike Barinholtz and David Stassen — the latter of whom serves as showrunner. Additional EPs include Hudson, Howard Klein, Jeanie Buss and Linda Rambis.
