Karl Stefanovic and Allison Langdon lose it over racy Murdoch joke
Today hosts Karl Stefanovic and Allison Langdon were in stitches on Thursday morning, after some racy jokes about Rupert Murdoch.
The 91-year-old billionaire media mogul is reportedly divorcing his model wife Jerry Hall, according to the New York Times.
The Today hosts were discussing the split and found it difficult to contain their laughter.
After their LA-based reporter Sam Rubin updated the hosts about the divorce, Langdon quipped: “I don’t know, Sam. If these guys can’t make it work, what chance is there for the rest of us, I say!”
When Rubin said that Murdoch had no trouble finding a wife because he’s ‘more vibrant’ than other men his age, Langdon struggled to keep her composure.
“There you go Sam,” Langdon said while giggling.

“What Ally’s trying to say is that Rupert should put his cue back in the rack!” Stefanovic joked.
“But he’s 91, he’s still loving life. Why shouldn’t he get out there? He’s still a healthy man, he’s wealthy,” he continued.
Rubin told the hosts that there are still ‘many willing partners’ for Murdoch to marry, even at his age.
Stefanovic couldn’t hold back his laughter as he yelled, ‘No doubt!’
According to the New York Times, Australian-born Murdoch and Hall are set to split, after the publication received two anonymous sources.
The publication reported that people close to the mogul were “surprised” that their marriage is coming to an end.
On their wedding day in 2016, Murdoch tweeted an excited message: “No more tweets for ten days or ever! Feel like the luckiest AND happiest man in [the] world.”
People were quick to make some jokes at the couple’s expense, with one writing: “BREAKING: Jerry Hall is set to divorce Rupert Murdoch after being upset at him living much longer than she expected.”
“She finally gave up waiting for him to pass away,” another joked.
“Rupert’s back on the market, ladies,” a third added.
