Yahoo Lifestyle Kanye West Applauds ‘Brave’ Wife Bianca Censori Following Controversial Grammys Appearance
Kanye West is praising his 30-year-old wife Bianca Censori amid continued criticism of the couple's appearance at the 2025 Grammy Awards.
West spoke out in support of Censori and the revealing mini dress she wore on the red carpet on Sunday, Feb. 2, taking to social media to share his latest thoughts on the situation.
The rapper shared multiple updates on X on Feb. 6, including a message about Censori that began, "❤️❤️❤️ my wife’s first red carpet opened a whole new world."
Alongside a photo from the red carpet, West went on, "I keep staring at this photo like I was staring in admiration that night Thinking wow I am so lucky to have a wife that is so smart talented brave and hot She took a break from shooting her first film to make a movie in real life."
He claimed that they tailored the "invisible dress" six times, adding, "And just like magic poof we disappeared."
West then specifically mentioned Vogue and the publication's coverage of Censori's Grammys appearance, writing, "Thank you to all the outlets who recognized us and gave us back the energy we put in But I have to give a shout out to the American Vogue team for writing an article that places my wife in a strong positive light and also recognizes rightful strength."
The publication's coverage of Censori's Grammys dress noted that a lot of criticism stems from a lack of knowledge about West's wife and her desires, with writer Raven Smith saying, "I don’t think we should assume that because Bianca’s pretty much naked, she’s not fully in control of herself, or that she’s not thoroughly enjoying her exhibitionism."
Previously, a source told Parade, "Bianca’s outfit was picked out by Kanye. He is a designer and sees his wives as a place to showcase his art. It is a creative outlet for him similar to his music."
"Bianca is like his muse. He hasn’t been in the spotlight like this for a while and he saw this as an opportunity to draw attention to the two of them,” the source concluded.
Relationship expert Nicole Moore also shared her thoughts on the celebrity couple, telling Parade, "Even in a muse/artist dynamic, it’s only healthy if the muse has the ability to say no to the artist’s requests when they feel uncomfortable."
Censori has shared very little about herself and her opinions with the public, leaving the way she interacts with West during their rare appearances up to interpretation.
