June Squibb Reads Kids Book “So Much Slime ”for SAG-AFTRA Foundation’s Storyline Online — Watch Here!
Squibb joins a number of celebrities who have teamed up with the childhood literacy program, including Meryl Streep, Viola Davis and more
June Squibb is spreading the joy of childhood literacy.
In celebration of National Slime Day on Dec. 11, the Academy Award-nominated actress, 95, teamed up with the SAG-AFTRA Foundation’s Storyline Online childhood literacy program to read a new book: So Much Slime, written by Jason Lefebenre and illustrated by Zac Retz, and published by Flashlight Press.
The book follows Matty, who loves to make creations with slime. Things go awry, however, when he attempts to do a slime demonstration at school and forgets an important ingredient. Matty must figure out how to stop the sticky substance from spreading all over.
Storyline Online is an Emmy-nominated nonprofit and literary resource for parents, teachers and students.

Storyline Online has seen over 90 actors and actresses reading children’s books. Past participants included Viola Davis, Meryl Streep, Oprah Winfrey, Chris Pine and Michelle Yeoh, among others.
Squibb’s reading garnered nearly 75,000 views, making it the most-watched Storyline Online debut ever. So Much Slime also includes a teacher’s guide, which aligns with Common Core Standards.
