Robbie Williams unleashes after Sydney NYE performance: 'You twits'
Robbie Williams has poked fun at the ABC and Aussies after he got "in trouble" for promoting his new biopic Better Man.
Robbie Williams has never been shy of voicing his opinion, and it's been no different since his latest visit in Australia for New Year's Eve celebrations, with the singer slamming the ABC after he was accused of "over-promoting" his new biopic Better Man.
Robbie, who recently just performed a free Melbourne concert, was speaking at the Royal Exhibition Building in Melbourne when he unleashed on critics, and he didn't mince his words.
Telling people to "f*** off", the performer said he wasn't going to come on a publicity tour of Australia just to "sing Angels again" unless he could promote his new biopic at the same time.
Robbie Williams on his Australian NYE show: "I'm here to sell my f***ing movie"
"Is anybody aware that I got in trouble for over-promoting my film on the TV? What the f*** did they think I was there for?" he said at the event.

Robbie continued to poke fun at the backlash, saying, "Get on a plane, come down and sing Angels again? F*** off! I'm here to sell my f***ing movie, you twits. You book Robbie Williams, you get Robbie Williams."
It was during his NYE performance on Tuesday Night in Sydney where Robbie divided viewers after sneaking in a few tongue-in-cheek opportunities to promote Better Man.
"Some critics are calling it the movie of the century! Not my words, except they are because I just made that up," he said.
Some of the backlash came from viewers mad that their tax dollars paid for the performance.
"Did my tax dollars pay for this lazy Robbie Williams set? What the f***? PR for a movie during a set as well?!" one person tweeted. "As the ABC is 100% funded by tax dollars, how much did we pay for Robbie Williams on New Year's Eve?" another person said.

"How much did NSW tax payers pay for that Robbie Williams garbage last night? Can't imagine he performed for free," another person tweeted. "Happy new year everyone, wishing you peace and prosperity for the year ahead."
However, some people stepped in to defend the move. "How can you not like Robbie Williams? He's brilliant, an honorary Aussie larrikin," one person said. "He's more Aussie than most Australians these days. Lighten up."
