Joe Jonas Is Unrecognizable in Drag and Fans Have ‘So Many Questions’

Joe Jonas showed off a major style switch up on social media this week, and fans aren't sure what to make of the change.

The 35-year-old singer took to TikTok on Thursday, Jan. 16, to share a video of himself in drag.

Wearing a dark blond bob wig, a full face of makeup including bright pink lipstick, and what appeared to be a black satin dress or jumpsuit with a plunging neckline, Jonas looked into the camera and mouthed the words: "I'm going roller skating, don't touch my stuff" (a sound bite from the '90s Nickelodeon series Are You Afraid of the Dark?).

After delivering the line, Jonas turned dramatically and started to walk away.

He captioned the clip with a single emoji: “💅.”

Commenters were both confused and amused by the clip.

"I have so many questions," wrote one person.

"This is real this is me," added a second, quoting a song from the Disney Channel movie Camp Rock (which starred Jonas as a teen pop star).

"Who's this DIVA," someone joked.

"Tell me why I thought this was Selma Blair," another fan wanted to know, while somebody else thought Jonas "kinda" looked "like Patti LuPone."

While it's not clear why Jonas was in drag, TMZ reported that he is filming an as-yet-untitled Christmas film for Disney+ in Toronto, Canada.

According to the outlet, Jonas stars in the movie alongside his brothers, Nick and Kevin Jonas, in addition to Nick's wife, Priyanka Chopra. Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. actress Chloe Bennet was also spotted on set. No further details about the project have been revealed, though the film is expected to be released during the 2025 holiday season.
