Jessika Power reveals why she will never return to MAFS: 'Horrible'

The reality star recently announced that she is single.

Married At First Sight’s Jessika Power has shut down speculation she will return to the Channel Nine reality show after breaking up with her long-term partner Connor Thompson.

Jessika, who rose to fame on season six in 2019, announced on social media earlier this week that she and Connor had called it quits after almost two years together.

The 31-year-old shared a lingerie post on Instagram referencing the fact that she is now “single”, and also asked her followers to recommend a removalist company to help her relocate from Manchester - where she moved in 2021 to be with Connor - back to Australia.

Taking to her Instagram Stories on Friday evening, Jessika answered a number of questions from fans including one about whether she’d go back on MAFS now that she’s no longer in a relationship.

“No,” she bluntly replied. “In a short word, just no.

“I think MAFS really has contributed to my relationships now, so I think doing MAFS again, I'd either find somebody who's perfect or I'd find somebody who was the same as what I had last time and then I’d just continue to push myself back in my actual real-life relationships.

“So yeah, I don't think so. It doesn't really sound like that much fun to me. And it goes for a long time and we filmed for so long, it was horrible. Towards the end of it, I was so done. But, yeah no, I just don't think I have the patience anymore.”

Why Jessika won't immediately move back to Australia

The Big Brother VIP star also confirmed that she has started planning her move back to the Gold Coast, but it’s taking longer than expected because of Australia’s strict biosecurity laws around bringing animals into the country.

“Getting (her dog) Sushi back will take time,” she detailed. “I’m really grateful I went and had his rabies shots done quite a few months ago now because I have to have had them for like a minimum of 180 days. I don't know what it was but my intuition just said go and get it done.

“So that's probably the biggest thing, but now he has to have blood work and different microchips and this and that and blah blah blah. So I will get him home and I will be moving home, but I will stay here with him until that happens.”

When asked directly about her and Connor's split, Jessika told her followers she didn’t want to share too many details about what went down but said the decision was “mutual”.

“There was one side that was a bit more on to it,” she revealed. “It's a roller coaster, you go up and down, up and down.

“So you can't really choose who decided to break up because at one point of this whole breakup, one of us has said, ‘Let's work on it’, and then it just hasn't worked. So it’s very high school, I think, to ask, ‘Who broke up with who?’ because it didn't really matter.”
