Jessica Alba Says Her Teen Daughters Did a 'Better' Job of Rewearing Her Old Dresses: 'True Story' (Exclusive)
The actress' daughters — Honor, 16, and Haven, 13 — rewore looks from her fashion archive to a movie premiere in June
Who wore it best?
Jessica Alba says her two teenage daughters — Honor, 16, and Haven, 13 — did a "better" job of rewearing dresses she previously wore over a decade ago when they attended a premiere for their mom's Netflix film Trigger Warning in June.
Noting that she was "so stoked" that Honor chose to wear her Prada dress from the London premiere of Valentine’s Day in 2010, and Haven wore her Dolce & Gabbana ensemble for a Comic-Con appearance in San Diego to promote Good Luck Chuck in 2007, Alba tells PEOPLE exclusively, "I love reusing things, and I love two or three uses out of anything, especially a red carpet look."
"It was my idea, because I didn't want to go and get them a dress for one night, you know?" the star continues of how the night's attire came to be. "So I knew they were going to the screening for Trigger Warning, and I was like, 'Would you guys wear these dresses? I picked them out. I think they would look really cute on you, but I mean, if you don't like them [it's okay].' "
"It was just really cute, and ... then they were both like, 'Yeah, okay, fine. It's cute. Yeah, I'll wear it,' " adds Alba — who recently helped Instagram launch its new Teen Accounts feature. "I think they both thought that they wore it better — which, by the way, they did. True story."

Alba previously documented her daughters' decision to rewear outfits from her fashion archive in an Instagram post at the time.
"I loooove seeing my girls wear some of my archived pieces and adding their own touch 🫶🏽 #FashionFriday," the proud mom captioned her post, in part.

In a recent conversation with PEOPLE for the My Life in Pictures series, Alba admitted that realizing her daughter Honor grew taller than her was "a tough pill to swallow."
"You don’t really understand time until you watch a little person go from being just a blob who can’t talk or do anything useful except for just look cute, and then they grow up to be people with opinions," she explained. "And they tell you, ‘Oh no, Mom, you cannot plan my 16th birthday.’ What do you mean? I birthed you, this is my birthday too!"
Alba is also a mom to son Hayes, 6, whom she shares with her husband, Cash Warren.
