Jaden Smith’s Grammys Headpiece Was Inspired by an Actual Transylvanian Castle: Designer, Price and More Details
Jaden Smith’s look at the 2025 Grammy Awards on Sunday went viral, but it wasn’t his Louis Vuitton suit that caught people’s attention. The singer, who attended the ceremony alongside his sister Willow, modeled a castle-shaped headpiece crafted by the indie label Abodi.
Founded by Hungarian designer Dora Abodi in 2013, the brand is inspired by her Transylvanian roots. The Romanian region is commonly associated with vampires thanks to Bram Stoker’s 1897 novel “Dracula,” where the titular character lives in a secluded palace — thought to be based on Bran Castle.

Abodi’s avant-garde headpiece also appears to resemble the landmark, which dates back to the 1300s. Both share similar pointed turrets and feature small windows along the facade.
Abodi’s own ancestry dates back to 16th-century Transylvania, where her family was granted nobility by Prince István Báthori.
“Inspired by the region’s legends, folklore and mythology, including the infamous Elisabeth Báthori, whose dark connection to vampire folklore echoes through Abodi’s work, the brand blends history with the fantastic,” reads the brand’s website.
Nicknamed the “Bloody Countess,” Elisabeth Báthori was one of the earliest known female serial killers. She was said to have tortured hundreds of girls and women and bathe in the blood of her victims, though the veracity of these claims have been questioned by historians.
Fittingly, Smith’s gothic topper is called the Vampire Castle Headpiece. Priced at more than $4,500, it’s made to order as the measurements are custom. Per its description, the couture accessory symbolizes “eternity, sensuality and resilience.”
Abodi’s designs have previously been worn by stars like Taylor Swift, Kylie Jenner and Lady Gaga.
