Isla Fisher and Sacha Baron Cohen divorce: The hints everyone missed

Sacha Baron Cohen and Isla Fisher shocked fans when they announced last week that they were divorcing after 14 years of marriage. The pair's bizarre split announcement featured the pair dressed in tennis outfits, with the statement reading: "After a long tennis match lasting over twenty years, we are finally putting our racquets down.

"In 2023, we jointly filed to end our marriage. We have always prioritised our privacy, and have been working through this change. We forever share in our devotion and love for our children."

The pair share three children, two daughters aged 17 and 13, and a nine-year-old son.

It comes after Rebel Wilson shared shock allegations about Sacha's behaviour on the set of their film The Brothers Grimsby.

Isla kept quiet following the claims and didn't show any support for her husband, with the actress' first social media post one with three girlfriends – producer Bruna Papandrea, Naomi Watts and Michelle Dockery.

"Girls night at the theater," she captioned the snap.

Sacha has also been noticeably absent from Isla's Instagram account, with her last post with him being shared in November last year.

"Off screen date & on screen date," she captioned the snap of the pair enjoying a beer together in Sydney.

Prior to that, her last post with Sacha was in April last year.

Sacha, meanwhile, isn't as active on social media. His last post about Isla was for her birthday in February last year.

In 2021, he shared a post to celebrate their 20th anniversary, with the Borat star writing, "Happy Anniversary ❤️ 20 YEARS. If there ever comes a day when we can’t be together keep me in your heart. I’ll stay there forever, Winnie the Pooh.

"Happy Anniversary my love. I’m writing this rather than getting you a card. Our duration is largely due to our location - after all Hollywood is the bastion of lengthy marriages."

While the pair have been separated since last year, the actress has continued wearing her wedding and engagement rings during public appearances.
