Isaia Debuts Coed Collection in Milan
Chief executive officer Gianluca Isaia introduced the coed Isaia show at Milan’s cultural center Circolo Filologico, paying tribute to the late writer and actor Luciano De Crescenzo and his book and film “Così parlò Bellavista.”
The space was turned into a literary salon inspired by the home of Gennaro Bellavista, De Crescenzo’s alter ego, peppered with vintage furniture, rugs and books, piled up casually throughout.
Creative director Damiano Biella did not stray from Isaia’s time-honed sartorial elegance but injected softer shapes and volumes.

Duffle coats in double cashmere, alpaca and bouclé fabrics were worn over fluid pants and cozy cashmere knits featured eye-catching intarsia patterns. Tailored blazers, shirt jackets and bombers in napa and suede contributed to the luxurious feel of the collection. The color palette was bold, ranging from burgundy and red to chocolate and green.
For evening, the sartorial velvet jackets were a standout.
For the first time the brand also showed a full womenswear collection that reflected its Neapolitan tailoring expertise with chic blazers and oversize coats as well as masculine-cut pants.
