Influencer leaves people divided after sharing son's pre-school lunch: 'Not trying to judge'

Aussie wellness influencer Sarah's Day has left fans divided with her latest post.

Wellness influencer Sarah's Day (Sarah Stevenson) caused divide amongst fans on her Instagram page when she recently shared what she packs for her five-year-old son's lunch, and not everybody approved.

The Aussie social media star, who's due to give birth to her third child in October, shared the "healthy lunchbox" she packs for her son Fox for preschool, saying her children enjoy eating healthy foods. However, some fans took offence to the lack of carbs in the child's lunchbox.

"I have shared quite a bit of our food journey as a family and how I have encouraged my kids to not only eat, but truly ENJOY healthy foods. All of this has begun from the day that I introduce solids through baby led weaning," Sarah captioned the post.

"I acknowledge and respect my son's different taste preferences, foods they dislike and cuisines they gravitate towards and have always maintained an open conversation about what whole, healthy foods do for our body and why we are so blessed to eat such nourishing foods!"

"I am not trying to judge you, I am really curious. Are you actually giving 4 eggs for lunch to your 5-year-old?" another asked.

Sarah addressed the negative comments about the lack of carbs in the lunch box, saying, "He doesn’t like sandwiches or wraps right now. Also, you don’t see his breakfast, afternoon snack, dinner, and dessert. Everyone can rest easy that Fox isn’t wasting away and is getting plenty of complex carbohydrates in his day."

Other mums in the comments praised Sarah, while also sharing their kids would never go for a healthy lunchbox like hers.

"You're so lucky your kid will eat like this. My boy loves veggies and fruit, but he hates cold protein, hates eggs, hates cheese/yogurt…I’m so limited," one person shared, while TikTok star Indy Clinton commented saying, "If I served Navy [her son] this he would throw mine in the bin and steal the other kids lunches 🤣🤣🤣🤣 so amazing Foxy eats like this!!"
