Influencer Breckie Hill speaks out over Sabrina Carpenter and Barry Keoghan split rumours
Earlier this month, news of Barry Keoghan and Sabrina Carpenter's split hit the internet, which sent fans into a spin trying to figure out what had happened. After influencer Breckie Hill's name was thrown into the mix, the 21-year-old has now shut down any speculation she was the reason why.
In case you need a recap, a report from PEOPLE on the 4th December claimed the 25-year-old singer and actor, 32, had broken up after almost a year together, with an insider commenting, "They are both young and career-focused, so they've decided to take a break."
The internet then exploded with theories as to what happened, with some people suggesting Breckie was involved. Now, the 21-year-old social media star has taken to TikTok to deny she had anything to do with it, saying to camera:
"I just recently got out of the hospital. I got into a skiing accident and I broke my spine. Now that I’m out of the hospital, I just wanted to make this video and address these rumors that have been circulating all throughout the internet. To put it simply for you all, no, I did not get with Barry. I have never encountered this man in my life. The only time I’ve seen him is on my TV from watching Saltburn."
Barry, meanwhile, took to his own Instagram account and posted on X (formerly Twitter) about the impact people's reaction has had on him. In the text post, he wrote: "I can only sit and take so much. My name has been dragged across the internet in ways I usually don't respond to.
"I have to respond now because it's gettin [sic] to a place where there are too many lines being crossed. I deactivated my account because I can no longer let this stuff distract from my family and my work. The messages I have received no person should ever have to read them. Absolute lies, hatred, disgusting commentary about my appearance, character, how I am as a parent and every other inhumane thing you can imagine."

"Dragging my character and everything I worked extremely hard for and stand for," the actor went on. "Talking about how I was a heroine baby and how I grew up and dragging my dear mother into it also. Knocking on my grannie's door. Sitting outside my baby boy's house intimidating them. That's crossing a line."
"Each and every day I work harder to push myself on every level to be the healthiest and strongest person for that boy," Barry continued, referencing the son he shares with ex Alyson Sandro. "I want to provide opportunities for him to learn, fail and grow. I want him to be able to look up to his daddy, to have full trust in me and know I will have his back no matter what. I need you to remember he has to read ALL of this about his father when he is older."
Barry signed off his statement with: "Please be respectful to all. Thank u [sic] x."
