I'm A Celeb fans are convinced they know the next star: 'Gotta be'

On Sunday night's episode of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! Channel Ten teased the next star to enter the jungle, and fans were convinced they know who it is.

A short clip showed a woman walking to camp with her face blurred, as she gave some clues, "Who am I? I'm an actor. I'm a singer. I'm a TV host, a radio host, kind of a bit of a Jill of all trades."

She added, "I have got butterflies in my stomach. Get these little patters in my heart, so excited. I just want to get in there. Am I ready for this? I am so ready for this."

Fans quickly took to Twitter to share their thoughts, suggesting it was Australian actress and singer Tottie Goldsmith, 59.

"Gotta be Tottie Goldsmith," one user wrote, while another confidently added, "That's Tottie Goldsmith."

Someone else joked that MAFS' star Davina Rankin wouldn't know who Tottie is.

"What was the name of the musical group Totti Goldsmith was in?" a fourth questioned.

Others responded, saying she was in the pop group Chantoozies during the '80s and '90s. Some of their hits include 'Witch Queen', 'He's Gonna Step On You Again', 'Wanna Be Up', and 'Love The One You're With'.

Tottie later went solo, releasing an album called Gild the Lily in 1991 and starred in shows like The Young Doctors, Neighbours and Prisoner. She also hosted the TV show Sex/Life.

The multi-talented star is very active on social media and was noticeably absent between September 3 to September 18 last year, so it's very possible her stint in the jungle took place within that time.

According to TV Tonight, Channel Ten had finished filming on the show by September 2021 last year.

Normally, the show is filmed live, but due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, the show has been pre-recorded for the last two seasons, with a live finale where viewers can vote for the winner.
