ICG Publicists Awards Reveals 2025 Film Nominees – Update

2ND UPDATE, January 22: After two postponements due to the Los Angeles fire crisis, The International Cinematographers Guild today revealed the film nominees for its 2025 ICG Publicists Awards.

In the running for the Maxwell Weinberg Award for Motion Picture Publicity Campaign are the teams behind Bad Boys: Ride or Die, Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, Deadpool & Wolverine, Emilia Pérez, Gladiator II,
The Strangers: Chapter 1 and Wicked.

“We’re delighted to celebrate the Local 600 publicists who worked on these outstanding films,” said Tim Menke and Sheryl Main, joint chairs of the ICG Publicists Awards committee. “Their tireless creativity shines a light on the year’s best films, ensuring these important stories find their audience.”

Honoring unit publicists, individual publicists, outstanding publicity campaigns for television and motion picture, journalists and unit still photographers, the awards will be handed out during a February 28 luncheon at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Beverly Hills.

1st UPDATE, December 4: The International Cinematographers Guild revealed the nominees for its Maxwell Weinberg Award for Television Publicity Campaign this morning. Up for the honor are the teams behind Disney+’s Agatha All Along, Netflix’s Bridgerton Season 3, CBS’ Elsbeth, Prime Video’s Fallout, Hulu’s Family Guy and CBS’ Matlock.

PREVIOUSLY, November 26: The first nominees are out for the 62nd ICG Publicists Awards, which fete members of the publicists branch of the International Cinematographers Guild. See the list below.

Showbiz publicists first unionized in 1937 as the Screen Publicists Guild, later becoming the Publicists Guild. In 2002, the Publicists Guild merged with the International Cinematographers Guild.
