Hugh Jackman and Deborra-Lee Furness are 'on different pages' after split
"Hugh and Deborra-Lee are both on different pages and in separate chapters of their lives."
Hugh Jackman and Deborra-Lee Furness shocked fans when they announced they were splitting up after 27 years of marriage last month, with a source revealing the pair are 'on different pages' now following the split.
"Hugh and Deborra-Lee are both on different pages and in separate chapters of their lives," a source told ET. "They felt like it was time to divorce, but they still maintain a happy and cordial friendship."
"They only want the best for one another," the source adds. "They are appreciative of their many years together and children and there is no animosity between them. At the end of the day, it was their collective agreement to go their separate ways and do the healthiest thing for everyone involved."
The insider continued, saying Hugh and Deborra-Lee "want to move forward in the best way and continue to put their family first".

"They are a very loving, communicative family and they are working towards maintaining that balance with each other and their kids," they said.
Hugh is reportedly doing well and is "surrounding himself around people that he trusts and loves" and is "looking forward to continued growth in this new chapter and year".
It comes after the pair reunited recently for Hugh's 55th birthday in New York City earlier this month.
A source told Page Six that the pair were joined by their children, 23-year-old Oscar and 18-year-old Ava, and “a few close friends”.
“Very happy time [had] by all,” they added. “Think it was [a] good birthday.”
When approached for comment, Hugh’s rep confirmed the reunion and told the publication: “Yes, it’s true. It was a lovely evening.”
Hugh and Deborra-Lee announce split
Hugh and Deborra-Lee revealed their split last month in a statement shared with People magazine, saying: "We have been blessed to share almost three decades together as husband and wife in a wonderful, loving marriage. Our journey now is shifting and we have decided to separate to pursue our individual growth."
They continued: "Our family has been and always will be our highest priority. We undertake this next chapter with gratitude, love, and kindness.
"We greatly appreciate your understanding in respecting our privacy as our family navigates this transition in all of our lives."
It has since been reported that Hugh is in the early stages of writing a "bombshell memoir".
"Hugh is choosing to [write this book] now because he's finally [being] honest with himself [and] the divorce," an insider told Us Weekly.
"The content will be Hugh speaking about his life. He'll be opening up about his life like never before."
