Home and Away's James Stewart reveals massive 12kg transformation: 'Amazing'

Home and Away’s James Stewart has shocked fans after sharing his incredible 12kg fitness transformation. The star, 47, currently plays Justin Morgan on the long-running Aussie soap.

In an Instagram post, he shared a recent workout snap with fans, posing in just a pair of grey track pants while flexing. He stood next to a set of weights as he held a small towel around his neck.

In the caption, he told fans that his new fitness regime wasn’t easy, and admitted that it was “one of the hardest things” he’s ever done. However, he pushed himself so he could become 'a better father' to his 10-year-old daughter Scout.

“I was 100kg…now I’m 88kg. I was sluggish, wore baggy shirts and didn’t feel great. The thing that got to me the most is I couldn’t keep up with my kid. Now she has trouble keeping up with me!” he exclaimed.

His advice to those trying to get into shape was simple — swap beers and burgers for a protein shake and salad.

“Then just put your trainers on and go train! Sounds simple, but it’s one of the hardest things I’ve ever done, and I’ve done it twice,” he wrote.

The Packed to the Rafters star also added that he previously got in shape with the help of a personal trainer, but for his latest transformation, he did it all by himself.

“As fit as I am physically, it’s my mental fitness that is my favourite benefit. I feel good about myself. A better man, a better husband, a better father,” he finished.

His Home and Away family were quick to congratulate the star, with Matt Evans (Theo Poulos) adding some bicep emojis in the comments. Juliet Godwin (Bree Cameron), Nicholas Cartwright (Cash Newman) and Kyle Shilling (Mali Hudson) all liked his post.

“Man that’s such a great accomplishment. You look healthy and HAPPY,” Georgie Parker (Roo Stewart) added.

Fans also flooded the comment section in disbelief, with many applauding James’ decision to get fit.

Fans went wild for the snap, with many leaving laughing emojis in the comments.

“Well done James. That's amazing. I need to get fit myself but you're right it's hard and the first step is harder. I hope I can do this. Love to you and yours,” a third chimed in.
