Kim Kardashian has once again come under fire for who she chooses to platform on her social media accounts.
For reference, the star first sparked fierce backlash back in November when she shared a heartfelt message to Donald Trump’s daughter Ivanka Trump just days before the presidential election.
Kim and Ivanka have been close friends for many years, and were first pictured together at the 2014 Met Gala.
Posting in honor of Ivanka’s birthday, Kim shared a photo of them cuddled up and wrote: “No one sweeter than you @ivankatrump” alongside three white heart emojis.
She followed up with more photos of herself and Ivanka over the years, with the whole thing rubbing many people the wrong way — especially so close to the election.
It was quickly pointed out that Kim hadn’t publicly endorsed anybody in the 2024 election, and her close relationship with Trump during his previous presidency didn’t go unnoticed either.
For reference, Kim met with Trump in 2018 as part of her work advocating for criminal justice reform. At the time, she discussed Alice Marie Johnson's case with the then-president. One week after meeting with Kim, Trump granted Johnson clemency.

Kim also visited the White House in 2020, which is when Trump agreed to reduce the sentences of three female prisoners who had been jailed for drug-related and white-collar crimes.
Kim did not publicly acknowledge the public scrutiny that her birthday tribute to Ivanka caused, but she was seemingly unfazed by it as she fanned the flames once again just two months later.
During Trump’s January inauguration, Kim took to her Instagram story to share a photo of his wife, Melania Trump, arriving at the event.
The star didn’t add any comment or caption to the photo, which simply showed Melania wearing a wide-brimmed hat that concealed her eyes.
And on Sunday night, Kim’s Instagram story suffered a third strike when she shared a photo of Meta founder Mark Zuckerberg with her 358 million followers.
The Facebook billionaire had shared a photo of himself wearing a hoodie that reads: “Kim is my lawyer” to his own social media page, a nod to Kim’s longstanding dream of becoming a lawyer. For reference, the reality star has been in law school since 2018.
In his post’s caption, Mark suggested that he’d been gifted the hoodie by Kim’s momager, Kris Jenner, writing: “the only appropriate hoodie @krisjenner,” as he also tagged Kris — not Kim — in the photo.
FYI, Kris recently starred in a commercial for Meta, which premiered in full during Sunday’s Super Bowl.
“Hahaha I love it!!! 🙋🏻♀️” Kim commented on the post before sharing it to her Instagram story with additional tags for both Kris and Mark.
But Mark’s recent behavior has left some of Kim’s followers unimpressed with her decision to platform him.
For context, Mark made a string of problematic comments just last month, which included saying that workplaces need to embrace “masculine energy” and that there is too much “censorship” on social media.
On Jan. 7, Mark announced that Meta will replace its fact-checking systems on Instagram and Facebook with “community notes” similar to Elon Musk’s controversial X, with Mark claiming that the original system had led to "too many mistakes and too much censorship" and was "too politically biased."
During a subsequent podcast appearance, Mark said that the corporate world is “culturally neutered” as he confirmed that he is scrapping all diversity, equity, and inclusion schemes within Meta.
He added at the time: “I think having a culture that celebrates the aggression a bit more has its own merits that are really positive.” He went on to call out the rhetoric that “masculinity is bad.”
Mark is also a public supporter of Trump, and donated $1 million to his inaugural fund after his presidential win in November.
Sharing a screenshot of Kim’s Instagram story on a Reddit forum, one disappointed fan wrote: “They just loud and proud FULL MAGA.”
“This is so weird,” somebody else wrote, while another claimed: “Most billionaires are maga.”
Somebody else wrote: “Ugh just when I thought he couldn’t get worse 🤦”
Many others took issue with the slogan on Mark’s hoodie, with one writing: “Friendly reminder that: KIM IS NOT A LAWYER!”
“If Kim was his lawyer, he’d be broke,” one more quipped.
Somebody else concluded: “This embarrassing on so many levels but #1 has to be that she isn’t letting this lawyer charade and failure fade into the sunset.”
