What happened after Jess 'played' Dan at MAFS reunion

Jess and Dan are arguably the most controversial couple on Married At First Sight, and tonight their loved-up romance took a hit when Jess’ flirtations with Nic were finally exposed.

Dan, who had cheated on wife Tamara with Jess, while she was still married to Mick, admitted tonight that he’d felt ‘played’ after seeing what his girlfriend had been up to behind his back.

“I honestly feel like I’ve been played,” he told the experts during the reunion finale, adding he was ‘hurt’ watching the footage of Jess proposition Nic just minutes before she made a move on him.

“My feelings for Dan hadn’t even evolved,” said Jess, but there’s one thing the rest of the cast, including Dan agreed with, and that was the footage didn’t lie.

“I’ve hurt a lot of people doing what I’ve done,” confessed Dan, and ultimately he’d now come to a point where he was reassessing all his decisions. Was it worth it?

“I’ve hurt a lot of people doing what I’ve done,” said Dan, adding, “Looking at that now, I feel like I’m a piece of s**t”.

But Jess tried her best to avoid any responsibility or wrongdoing.

“I’m sitting here calmly because I know I’m not lying,” she said, regardless of Nic saying he felt like she’d hit on him.

So what happened next for the couple after cameras stopped rolling at the reunion?

Firstly, a lot of thinking on Dan’s behalf, before a big call was made. He dumped her.

“Dan and I did have a little break after the reunion,” Jess told news.com.au.

Revealing Dan’s “ego was hurt” after learning of the “extent” of her and Nic’s conversation, Jess explained Dan made the decision to call it quits.

“He said, ‘Obviously we’re not together now’… And I said, ‘Whatever, I never got what I wanted out of this relationship anyway’. I was being a brat,” Jess told the publication.

But two days later Dan had a change of heart, and a phone call from him made Jess realise she also missed him.

They’re back together now and Jess has confirmed she’s made the move to the Gold Coast.
