Guy Sebastian reveals previous 'devastating' split from wife Jules: 'Gutted'
"I just didn't prioritise her."
Guy Sebastian has revealed that he and his now-wife Jules Sebastian once had a devastating break-up 23 years ago, with the stylist dumping him because he was a "rubbish boyfriend".
The Voice coach shared the surprise admission during an appearance on The Kyle and Jackie O Show on Friday, telling Jackie 'O' Henderson and newsreader Brooklyn Ross, "I grew up pretty sheltered and was a bit weird.
"I was obsessed with sport, I was travelling, doing music and stuff like that... at the time I was at uni and studying medical radiation, so I was either studying really hard, massively into sport... I just didn't prioritise her. She was a mate more than a girlfriend."

He explained that Jules broke up with him when she was 22 and he was 20, "So she dumped me. I was devastated and gutted."
The singer added that after the split, he couldn't eat because he was so upset, adding that they gave each other space for a little while before quickly realising they both missed each other.
Guy said he "felt lonely" during their time apart, with Brooklyn jokingly asking if he had a "man w***e" moment, to which the singer said, "I had my moment."
The pair has been going strong now for many years and share two sons, Hudson, 11, and Archie, nine.

Guy's X-rated admission
It comes after Guy made an X-rated admission about his relationship during an appearance on 2DAY FM's Hughesy, Ed & Erin.
Speaking about love languages, the singer said: "It’s so cliché but even little things like, as a partner you go ‘Oh they're not being affectionate to me’ and they’re not giving you sex, but you’re not doing the little stuff for them. So basically you just have to do lots of chores to get lucky."
