Guy Sebastian reveals 'horror' of his kids catching him in the act

Guy Sebastian has opened up about the “horror and confusion” of his kids catching him in the act with his wife Jules.

The Voice coach, who is a dad to nine-year-old Hudson and seven-year-old Archie, was asked about the embarrassing incident during an appearance on Fitzy & Wippa on Tuesday.

“Have you guys ever walked in on your parents doing it?” Wippa asked Guy and his fellow coach Jessica Mauboy, who responded, “No never, thank God!”.

“I have not walked in on my parents,” Guy slowly replied, before adding, “I don’t know how much Jules will want me to say.”

After some encouragement from the radio hosts, the Choir singer admitted that it was “an awful feeling” when one of his sons walked in on himself and Jules in the bedroom.

“The look of horror and confusion if one of your kids walk in,” he said. “I don't know how much was seen and neither does Jules.

“I think that a lot of parents can relate out there because we've got two young kids and you're just trying to find any time for each other, like whatsoever. And then you get that once in six months little bit of time and they still manage to ruin it,” he laughed. “All we’re asking for is 90 seconds!”

Guy’s candid confession comes shortly after he spoke with Yahoo Lifestyle about what it was like filming the upcoming season of The Voice with his fellow coaches Rita Ora, Keith Urban and Jessica Mauboy once again.

The hitmaker joined the singing competition series in 2019 and scored his first victory as coach last year when Bella Taylor Smith was crowned the winner.

“Every year we think, Bella was pretty incredible last year, how are we going to get more talent?” he said. “That's the thing I get the most nervous about. And then there we go, we’re slamming the button down, turning for someone else incredible.

“I don't know what it is, I guess it's maybe access to the internet and YouTube, but people are just getting so insanely talented at a young age.”

After an extremely successful season of The Voice in 2021, a new spin-off show titled The Voice Generations is set to air on Channel Seven at the end of this month.

The global-first special event will see the nation’s greatest voices from different age demographics come together to perform over one massive week only.
