Jessica Mauboy in tears on The Voice Generations: 'Nothing like it'
Jessica Mauboy breaks down in tears on the news The Voice spin-off show, The Voice Generations, a snippet from the upcoming show revealed.
The beloved Australian singer, who first appeared on the show as a judge last year, can be seen welling up as a little boy smiles at her from the stage.
“To land on this stage and perform like that was absolutely outstanding. Nothing like it,” Jessica says in the clip, as country music singer and fellow judge, Keith Urban, watches on.
Earlier in the promotion video, Jessica spoke about how she grew up harmonising with her sisters, saying “there is no greater feeling than singing with my family”.
“Dad would always be on the guitar playing,” Jessica said.

Judge Guy Sebastian also shared one of his most precious musical memories, saying: “There is nothing that makes me tear up more than hearing my own kids sing, or love music and discover all that I discovered growing up.”
Meanwhile, Keith Urban spoke about learning to play the guitar at a young age, saying: “I started playing guitar when I was six.”
“My dad played drums and my grandfather played piano. I was really lucky to have really supportive parents.”
Rita Ora, who is back for her second year as a judge on the popular singing show, saying she remembers her father performing in London pubs.
“My father owns pubs and I would go and sing at the pubs. That was the highlight of my weekend,” she said.
This year, in a world-first, Channel 7 is bringing The Voice Generations to our screens.
For one week only, the nation’s greatest voices from different age demographics come together to perform.
Despite only being on our screens for a week, the show’s format will still feature Blind Auditions, a Battle round and an epic Grand Finale.
