Grandpa Slim: Eminem reveals his daughter's pregnancy in music video
Will the No. 1 grandpa please stand up?
Eminem is going to be a grandfather.
The "Lose Yourself" rapper's daughter, Hailie Jade Scott, revealed her pregnancy the music video for her dad's song "Temporary."
The video consists almost entirely of home video footage of Scott, now 28, as a young child intercut with recent footage from her wedding earlier this year. At the end of the video, however, Scott presents her father with a jersey that says "Grandpa" above the number 1. Eminem then looks stunned at an ultrasound photo, implying that she's expecting her first child.
Scott confirmed the news in an Instagram post, which shows her and her husband Evan McClintock embracing as she holds ultrasound photos. "Mom & dad est. 2025," Scott wrote in her caption.

"Temporary," which features a hook from singer Skylar Grey, directly addresses Scott for its entire duration. "The truth is, I think what scares me the most/Is not being able to say all the things I wanna say to you when I'm no longer here/So this song is for Hailie, for when that day comes," Eminem says in the song's intro.
In one of the verses, the musician raps, "Hailie Jade, I wrote you this song/To help you cope with life now that I'm gone." He implores her to look after several of her family members and attempts to reassure her in the event of his death. "Sweetie, be strong, I know I was your rock/And I still am, saying goodbye is just not/Ever easy, but why you crying? Just stop/Hailie, baby, dry your eye, this is not forever."
Later in the song, Eminem resolves to watch over his daughter from the afterlife. "Jade, it'll be okay, baby, I'm here, hey/I'm watching you right now, baby girl, I vow/I will protect you, your guardian angel/As hard as this may feel, us parting is painful," he raps.
Eminem's last verse urges his daughter to move past his death. "Sweetie, get up, I know that this is breaking your heart, it's/The hardest thing I've ever wrote/Hailie, sweetheart, it's okay for you to let me go," he says.

The song and video end with a hilarious recording of Hailie from 2001. "You're taping me, bitch!" she says, as Eminem gasps off-camera. "I got you on tape cussin'!" he says. "Can you hear?" she asks, worriedly. Eminem responds, "Mmkay, no cussin'."
