Gigi Hadid rocks a mini dress made *entirely* of packing tape
Over the past few years, there's been a ~serious~ shift when it comes to fashion.
No longer are clothes made out of mere fabric, instead, we're pushing the boundaries of what constitutes clothing at a molecular level. Don't get what we mean? Let us demonstrate.
With the rise of daring takes on naked dressing, clothes have started becoming more cutout than fabric — held together by a single string, safety pins, or, in some cases, a prayer — which has made it obvious that, well, anything can be clothing if you try hard enough.
Enter: tops that are actually just...a collection of belts, a dress that's just ropes of pearls, or a bikini that is *wait for it* actually just artfully placed tan lines.
And the slew of DIY outfits shows no signs of stopping — at least if the Vetements show at Paris Fashion Week is anything to go by. (ICYMI: Vetements is the edgy brand founded by Georgian designers Demna Gvasalia, who then became a Creative Director at Balenciaga, and Guram Gvasalia.)
For their SS25 collection, Vetements sent a series of models down the runway in some pretty jaw-dropping looks. And among the aforementioned models was none other than Gigi Hadid, whose catwalk look is currently living in our heads rent-free.
Specifically, she was rocking a tiny, strapless mini dress which appeared to be constructed from bright yellow and red packing tape by the shipping company DHL.
Yep, that's one daring af look...
