Trying to keep snack times interesting can be a bit of a struggle, even if you're a fan of cooking and meal planning. Having a kitchen stocked with all of the little gadgets and baking items to make the job easier can help, but it can also add up (and there's nothing more annoying than spending good cash on something you use once and then forget that you own).

It's pretty unsurprising then that so many people love to share their handy hacks and affordable finds on social media - and that so many of those hacks and finds are from Kmart. From toastie makers to can strainers, fridge organisers and more, shoppers just can't seem to get enough of the budget retailer.

In a recent post on Instagram and TikTok, Kmart customers were loving an easy recipe for cheese and bacon scrolls and, even more so, loving the $5.50 item used to make them.

Using the 6-cup silicone muffin pan, the clip shows how simple it is to prepare the delicious snacks using rolled-up tortillas (use about 3 of them) and then adding the rest of the ingredients: egg, cheese, bacon and parsley. Pop it into the oven for 25 minutes at 180 degrees Celsius et voila!

The combination of a quick and easy recipe with a cheap-as-chips kitchen product was a hit and shoppers rushed to share how impressed they were.

"Yummy 😋," one shopper wrote with several others saying much the same thing.

"What a good idea!" another wrote.

Someone else resolved, "I'm going to make these."

"I don't know if I love the fun muffin pan more or the recipe 😍," another raved.

Naturally, some people also had questions that they wanted to have answered before they committed.

"These look so easy and yummy Just wondering though, is there anything on the bottom? Or does the egg just cook and become the bottom?" one potential customer queried.

"I can’t stop making these and they disappear so quickly. Correct the egg just becomes the base 😋," was one reply.

Another person shared a way to make the recipe even more delicious, writing, "The egg cooks and is the bottom! Just make sure you grease the tray so it doesn’t stick! I do these but wrap a bacon rasher around the outside instead! So good!"

"Did you cook the bacon beforehand?" was another question that came up with someone suggesting that while the bacon doesn't need to be cooked first, you could also use ham if you prefer.

"Good idea with leftover wraps," enthused another person.

And, because we love a product that can multi-task AND is a bargain, another shopper pointed out that the muffin pan doesn't have to be exclusive to the oven.

"Would be great in the air fryer," they wrote. "I cut a tray into individual cups for when I only want a couple of eggs etc, I use them in the air fryer and microwave."

The muffin pan is also a hit on the Kmart website where it has a 4.7 rating and plenty of 5-star reviews.

"Easy to pop the food out, easy to clean, does a great job for a great price point," one happy customer wrote.

"Very happy with it, easy to use and clean, great value," added another.

"Makes baking very easy and perfect size," wrote a third.

"Great nonstick material that is great for muffins or cupcakes. Easy to wash as I throw it through the dishwasher. Bought 2," yet another said.

Others also shared that the pan was perfect for soap making too. Sold!
