Furious debate over teacher's 'inappropriate' outfits: 'Too sexy'

A teacher has sparked a furious debate online after sharing pictures of the outfits she wears in the classroom.

The art teacher, who boasts more than 950,000 followers on Instagram, regularly shares snaps on social media of her figure-hugging outfits in the classroom as well as photos in bikinis when she is enjoying her downtime.

One photo shows the teacher wearing a high-neck, short-sleeved top with a high-waisted, mid-length blue skirt.

The teacher, who works in the US, posted one photo of the front, and another from the back showing off her curves.

While some said the attire was appropriate for the classroom, others slammed her for taking the pictures at school.

"The issue is not about her looks, the issue is these pics clearly are taken to emphasise certain parts," one wrote.

"Why you taking these pics at school? Do it at home," another agreed.

"Yeah I find it a bit absurd that you are taking booty pics in a classroom," a third added.

Others however hit back at the critics, saying she was "beautiful" and "stunning".

"She is fully clothed," one said.

"What does it matter what a teacher's body looks like? What matters is if she's a good teacher and the children learn from her," another added.

"How did you get that hourglass figure? You look amazing in all your outfits!!" a third commented.

Other photos the teacher posted at school sparked equal amounts of fury on Instagram.

"Shouldn't be a teacher if you're acting like a model," one said on a photo of her wearing a knee-length, long-sleeved dress.

"Not properly dressed for school," another commented on a photo of her wearing tight jeans and a long-sleeved top.

People however jumped in to defend the teacher asking what people expected her to wear.

"What piece of clothing would hide her body??? She's voluptuous. There's not a pair of pants, skirt, dress or anything else that would make a difference," one hit out at the trolls.

"She's teaching! The kids seem to love her as well."

Rapper Fat Joe has even posted a video in support of the teacher, claiming some were trying to get her fired.

“They’re trying to fire her because she's too sexy,” the musician said in a YouTube video.

“She too beautiful. She’s too curvaceous.

“I say let the woman be great. Can you fire somebody for their looks? Can you fire a teacher that’s ugly? How can you fire a teacher because she bad?”

Teacher hits back at trolls

Addressing the trolls in an Instagram video, the teacher said the mums at the school where she taught were some of her biggest supporters.

On a different video, she posted a caption calling out people for body shaming, adding there was a shortage of teachers.

"Trying to body shame me because I am curvaceous is STILL discrimination!!! Teachers are quitting left and right every day all day! The shortage of educators going on right now is insane! Teachers no longer want to teach, they rather work online, from home, even take a retail job over teaching because it's less agitating work and pays more than we get paid as teachers," she wrote.

"You want someone teaching your children that will love and protect them as if they were their own child.

"I am an artist and an influencer as well as a teacher. And my influence goes beyond that of my looks. Ask my students who Frida Kahlo is, ask them why Nigel and Basquiat were so crucial to our culture!? If you only knew the positive influence a loving kind heart can bring to the molding of a child’s creative mind. Oh well… carry on."
