Former NFL WAG Makes a Bold Declaration About Taylor Swift’s Impact

Former WAG Sharelle Rosado, who was once engaged to Chad "Ochocinco" Johnson, is giving her take on Taylor Swift's impact on NFL and football culture.

Rosado, 37, explained how the 14-time Grammy Award winner's relationship with Kansas City Chiefs tight end, Travis Kelce, has made being a wife or girlfriend of an athlete more appealing during an appearance on Page Six's "Virtual Reali-Tea" on Friday, January 24.

“I love giving Taylor Swift as an example. Ever since her and Kelce started dating, it changed the outlook of what a WAG is and it just has been becoming better and better,” Rosado, who stars on Nexflix's new reality series W.A.G.S to Riches, said.

She continued, "You’re now starting to see more of the wives and girlfriends doing things together more, being out there more and showing that … But it’s now showing the woman in the spotlight just as much as the husband.”

Swift and Kelce, both 35, began dating in the summer of 2023. They hard-launched their relationship in September that year after Swift attended her first Chiefs game. She has since attended many of the three-time Super Bowl champion's games alongside his family, including parents Ed and Donna Kelce, as well as her family and friends.

For her part, Rosado was previously engaged to former NFL tight end Johnson. The longtime Cincinnati Bengals player, who went on to play for the New England Patriots and the Miami Dolphins, popped the question in early 2023; however, the duo called their engagement off in October last year.

W.A.G.S to Riches premiered on Netflix on Jan. 22 and can be streamed now.
