FBI: International’s Vinessa Vidotto Talks Winter Premiere (‘It’s a Big One!’), Fan Response to Vo’s Life Hanging in Balance
It’s an understatement that FBI: International‘s six-week winter hiatus has felt downright interminable for viewers — especially if you’re a fan of Special Agent Cameron Vo, played by original cast member Vinessa Vidotto.
When last we tuned into the CBS crime drama, the manhunt for Greg Csonka (played by SEAL Team‘s Beau Knapp) led to Vo being shot. The bullet from Csonka’s henchman fractured Vo’s collarbone and hit a major vein, sending her into shock during surgery amid much blood loss. That was the dire news viewers were left with heading into the break.

The FBI: International winter premiere — titled “The Kill Floor” and airing Tuesday, Jan. 28, at 9/8c — will wrap up the three-part Greg Csonka storyline and, eventually, reveal Special Agent Vo’s fate.
Starting with the Season 4 opener, “Csonka came in and really created chaos,” Vidotto noted during a Tuesday-morning Zoom with TVLine. “He sent his men to Los Angeles to rob people, and had Wes’ buddy killed. And then in Episode 8, he escaped,” resulting in Vo being shot as the Fly Team pursued the slippery baddie.
“Now he’s fleeing for Paris” in the winter premiere, Vidotto previewed. “So yeah, it’s a big one. But I’m not going to reveal what happens to Vo that easily. You will just have to watch.”
Vidotto did confirm that her socials have been blowing up ever since the fall finale, which left her alter ego’s life hanging by the thinnest of threads.
“Our viewership is devoted, they’re invested, and that’s really nice to see,” the actress shared. “Because sometimes I wonder, ‘Do they feel connected to Vo enough? Are there scenes that allow people to see her in a different light, and not just a bad ass?’ So that’s really cool to know that they do.”
100 Most Shocking TV Deaths Ever
After all, in the DWTU (Dick Wolf Televisual Universe), fans of #TheFBIs and NBC’s #OneChicago will be first to tell you that no character, no original cast member, is ever really, 100% safe.
On FBI: International alone, “We had two of our cast in the past season get shot — Kellet (played by former cast member Heida Reed), and then Smitty (Eva Jane Willis),” Vidotto recounts. “So I was like, ‘Oh! It must be my turn.'”
